Enhancement Fee

Enhancement Fee - The annual fee is billed in November and we want our members input about the projects we do.

In November we will be billing for the Club’s annual enhancement fee. The fee for fitness members is $25 and $50 for tennis members. We use this fee to make improvements to the Club. This year we want your input on how to spend your money. We bill the fee in November so that the improvements can be completed for the New Year.

The math is as follows. We allocate $25 of the tennis enhancement fee for tennis projects. We anticipate that amount to be similar to last year; $25 * 500 members = $12,500. For the entire Club we use the other $25 from the tennis members and the $25 from fitness members and the math is; $25 * 925 total members = $23,125.

We used the 2011 fee for 2 projects. The money in general was used to replace the carpet in the lobby with new tile. It was a big messy project but very well worth the mess. The tile in the lobby looks amazing and makes the Club look completely different.

Also, We have been working on redoing the Group Exercise room. We have repainted and reorganized the room. We are putting the finishing touches on now. Next up is the fitness room for redecorating.

The tennis money was used to replace the fences on 4 courts. To maximize the funds, the Club purchased the materials and provided the labor in house. In trying to get the courts finished as quickly as possible we fell behind in our court resurfacing last year and the courts suffered all winter. Winter is the hardest time for our courts because of the lack of consistent rain.

Last year was pretty obvious what the club’s biggest need was with the carpet being in such bad shape. This year there is a lot of different projects I would like to address and would like your input on which one’s to spend the money on.

Below are 2 surveys one for the Club and one for Tennis. If you are a tennis member please fill out both surveys, because your money will be spent on both lists. If you think we are drastically missing a project after the surveys is a form to get you wish items added in the future.

Summer Camp Starts June 3rd

Last year we made massive additions to our summer camp. Along with Tennis Camp, we offered Racquetball Camp, Squash Camp, Scuba Camp, Dance Camp, Science Camp and more. It was a great success and we hope to build on that this summer. We have partnered with some of the best people in Sarasota to make our summer camps the best available. We can not wait to see the fun your child will have with Mysticals Dance, Scuba Quest, Mad Science, and more.
