Memorials and Trees

The Memorials and Trees on this page are a tribute to our members both those honored and the doing the honoring. It shows the generosity and loyalty of our members to their fellow tennis comrades and their love of the game and of each other.

Thelma Merker

It is a bottle brush tree and is located south of the pool. It was donated by group of friends. Click here to read a wonderful article about her in the Herald Tribune. And there are some photos from the Memorial Service here.

Well I talked to Ridley today and his memory is much better than mine. I gave us the trees in 2004 and they are pink trumpet trees. Once again thanks for all the pretty trees Ridley.

And we have a bunch of new stuff on our plate that will make the Club even better in the future. The award it self is gorgeous, we must find a place of honor for the award.
